Although, I still decided to keep the ones I had because I liked them a lot. However I stopped collecting after deciding that the practice of searching for and purchasing Squishmallows was unsustainable, and because Squishmallows and kellytoy are rlly problematic. I had over 100 squish that I had gotten all from retailers within the span on 4 months when I was living with my parents. But if something is stressing you out then it's not a good thing and should be adjusted. It's also okay to not like material objects. With that said, it's okay to like material objects. Now I'm only keeping the ones I love the most and am going to try not to impulse buy anymore. I kept asking myself if I really need them because a lot of them are just the same thing but with different colors or slightly different embroidery. I got too into collecting once Halloween hit and from then until a couple weeks ago I was probably over 150 if you include small ones. Before October of 2021 I had maybe around 30 from 3 years of collecting. 😞 It's honestly been mostly hype for certain ones on how I gained so many. I'm definitely not a minimalist, but having so many has stressed me out.
I'm now focusing on downsizing before it becomes impossible to even give them away (other than to Goodwill). The stress of spending so much money, constantly worrying about new drops, the increased toxicity is why I'm mostly quitting.
